ELC (Experiential Learning Cycle)

Most learning starts with an experience.  We think about the experience.  We analyse the experience.  We plan for the future based on our experience.

This, in essence, is the Experiential Learning Cycle.  We have an experience, we describe the experience, we analyse the experience and, based on our analysis, we plan for the future.

When teachers think carefully about their classrooms in this way, they can often find solutions to difficult educational problems.

Here is a diagram of the Experiential Learning Cycle.  If you would like to print a larger copy of this, please click on the name in blue at the bottom of this page.
